EAI’s lead taxonomist, Matt Scripter, recently returned from 2 weeks at Highlands Biological Research Station in North Carolina where he was trained in mayfly, stonefly, and caddisfly larval identification.  He then successfully passed the Society for Freshwater Science’s genus-level test for eastern EPT (i.e., the larvae of mayflies, stoneflies, and caddisflies), which is required in many states to perform freshwater stream assessments. Great Job Matt!
